Why this site exists
Most printable worksheet sites are built for school-age children and then stretch downwards, which is how you end up with a "toddler" worksheet asking a two year old to write inside a 5mm box. Between two and five, children are not doing small versions of school work. They are learning to hold a crayon, to notice that two things are the same, and to sit at a table for ten minutes because someone they like is sitting there too.
PrintKoala is built specifically for that window. Every sheet is designed around what a child of that age can genuinely do, not what looks impressive printed out.
How the worksheets are designed
A few principles run through everything here.
One idea per page. A sheet that practises letter formation does not also test counting. Splitting attention is how a page stops being finishable.
Thick lines and closed outlines. On a colouring page, a thin outline with small gaps makes a two year old's work look like failure. A bold, closed shape makes almost any attempt look right.
Room to be inaccurate. Guides are there to aim at, not to hit. Tracing that drifts outside the line is a completely normal three-year-old outcome.
Honest age ranges. Each worksheet says which ages it suits, and the age pages explain what to expect developmentally. If a sheet is frustrating, it is probably the wrong sheet, not the wrong child.
Printer-friendly by default. Everything is laid out on A4 with margins that also work on US Letter, and it is black and white unless a sheet specifically needs colour.
What worksheets are not
Printables are a small part of what helps at this age. Tearing paper, pegging socks on a line and counting the stairs together build the same hand strength and number sense, and they cost nothing. We wrote a list of those precisely because we do not think you should be printing something every day.
Ten focused minutes beats an hour of reluctant tracing. If your child has had enough, they have had enough.
How the site stays free
Advertising. That is the whole model.
There is no account to create, no email required, no "free" tier that runs out, and no watermark. We are not collecting your details to sell you a membership later. The ads on these pages are what pays for hosting and for the time spent making the sheets, and that is the trade — you see some advertising, everything else is genuinely free.
If you would rather not see personalised ads, decline in the cookie banner. You keep full access either way.
Using the worksheets
Print as many as you need for your own children, your classroom, your nursery or your homeschool group. Full details are in the Terms of Use, but the short version is: use them freely with the children in your care, just do not repost the files elsewhere or sell them.
If you want to share something with another parent, send them the link rather than the file. That way they get the current version, and it keeps the lights on here.
