Camper Van Colouring Page

This camper van has a face. Two eyes with little raised eyebrows and a curved smile sit right on the windscreen, so the front of the van looks like it is glad to see you. Behind that friendly window there is a large side window, a separate door with its own smaller window and a short handle, and a little box shape sitting on the roof like a roof vent. Underneath, two round headlights sit above a curved front bumper, and the van rolls on two big wheels with a smaller circle inside each one for the hubcap, plus a hint of a rear wheel peeking out at the back.

What makes this one worth printing is the size of the spaces. The van's body, the roof, and the big side window are all wide, open shapes a small hand can colour without much steering, which is a nice change from pages full of fiddly detail. The headlights, hubcaps and door handle are small enough to ask for a bit more care and a different colour, so a child gets both kinds of practice on one sheet: broad sweeps of a crayon across the body, and slower, smaller strokes inside the wheels and eyes. It is also an easy one to talk about while colouring — what colour is the van going on holiday in, and who is driving.

There is nothing tricky here. The lines are thick, the shapes don't overlap, and there are no tiny background details to trip up a young colourist. That makes it a good pick for a toddler colouring with big crayons or a preschooler who wants to finish a whole page without getting frustrated halfway through.
