Jewelled Crown Colouring Page

This crown has three peaks, each topped with a small round bead, and a big oval jewel sitting in the middle point with two smaller oval jewels tucked into the peaks on either side. Underneath the peaks runs a thin curved line marking off the base, which puffs out into four rounded scallops, like the soft fur trim on a storybook crown. Nothing overlaps and nothing is tucked behind anything else, so every shape is easy to find and easy to colour on its own.

The page mixes big, open spaces with small fiddly ones, which is exactly what makes it satisfying rather than tedious. The scalloped base and the triangular sections between the peaks give a child plenty of room to swing a crayon without worrying about the lines, while the three jewels and three top beads ask for slower, smaller strokes and are a natural spot to try a different colour for each one.
