About this worksheet
A house is one of the first things almost every child draws, and this page gives them a well-proportioned one to colour before they attempt their own.
The picture is built entirely from the shapes covered elsewhere on the site: a square body, a triangle roof, rectangular door and windows, and circular smoke puffs. Pointing that out while colouring turns a quiet activity into shape revision without it feeling like a lesson.
The windows are left deliberately empty. The prompt at the bottom asks your child to draw who lives there, which turns the sheet into a piece of their own drawing rather than only a colouring page.
How to use this sheet
Ask which shape the roof is, and which shape the door is. Naming them mid-activity reinforces shape vocabulary better than a quiz would.
