Playground Slide and Swings Colouring Page

This sheet shows a compact play structure rather than a whole park: a little playhouse with a peaked roof and an arched doorway, reached by a staircase of five steps with side railings. From the platform a long slide curves down and loops at the bottom before straightening out. Beside the house stands a swing set on an A-frame, with two empty swing seats hanging on their chains from the top bar. Above the roof, a round, smiling sun with pointed petals pokes into view, giving the only face on the page.

The slide and the roof are the big win here — wide, unbroken curves that a preschooler can fill in one sweep without worrying about staying inside tight lines. The staircase steps, railings and swing chains are the opposite: narrow, repeated shapes that ask for a steadier hand and a bit more patience, which makes this a good page for practising both in one sitting. It also gives a parent an easy way to talk through the picture piece by piece — what part of the playground would you go on first, the slide or the swings — while the child works.

There's more detail here than a bare outline page, mostly in the staircase and the chains, so it sits at the middle of the difficulty range rather than the easy end. Younger preschoolers will happily colour the slide, roof and sun and leave the fiddly bits plain, while four and five year olds are more likely to have a go at every step and chain link. Either way it prints clean on one page and doesn't need anything more than the crayons already on the table.
