Sloth Hanging With a Smile Colouring Page

This sloth hangs from one thick branch, gripping it with both hands and letting its whole body dangle below. Its face has two big round eyes with a small highlight circle in each, a dark oval nose, and a curved smiling mouth, all sitting inside a paler mask-shaped patch of fur. Long fur lines run down both arms and the belly, and each foot shows a few simple curved claws. The branch has a short stub and a few bark lines at the left end, and that is the whole scene: no leaves, no background animals, nothing else to colour.

What makes this one worth printing is the size of the shapes. The body, the arms, and the branch are all big, closed spaces a young child can fill in without worrying about staying inside tight lines, so it is a good one for handing over a fat crayon and letting them go. The face is the only fiddly bit, with the small eye highlights and nose asking for a bit more care, which gives slightly older preschoolers something to slow down for, while younger ones can happily scribble the body one colour and call it done.

It sits on the easier end of the shelf: mostly large rounded areas, very little background, and no small repeated details to lose patience over. That makes it a solid choice for a first sitting with a toddler, a quick page during a wait at the doctor's, or a calm five minutes before nap time.
