Trace Number 11

One numeral, one page. The strip at the top shows a large 11 beside 11 carrots, so the very first thing your child does is count — the numeral is tied to a real quantity before any pencil work begins.

Eleven is a friendly number to write — the same stroke twice — but a tricky one to say, since the word gives no clue that it means ten and one. Counting the carrots in the strip aloud does more for understanding than the tracing.

The grid below holds dotted 11s to trace, sized for small hands, and the bottom row is deliberately empty: after a page of guided strokes, writing the numeral unaided in the last boxes is the moment the practice sticks.
