Trace Number 1

One numeral, one page. The strip at the top shows a large 1 beside a smiling sun, so the very first thing your child does is count — the numeral is tied to a real quantity before any pencil work begins.

The numeral 1 is a single straight stroke drawn top to bottom — the simplest numeral there is, which is exactly why it comes first. The real lesson is the routine itself: count, trace, then write.

The grid below holds dotted 1s to trace, sized for small hands, and the bottom row is deliberately empty: after a page of guided strokes, writing the numeral unaided in the last boxes is the moment the practice sticks.
