Community Helpers worksheets for 3 year olds
Eleven community helpers worksheets pitched at 3 year olds, free to print with no account and no watermark. Most are straightforward, with one that steps up for a child who is ready for more.
Here your child will meet the people who keep a town running, from a veterinarian tending a wriggly puppy to a firefighter, a nurse, a teacher, a bus driver and a train conductor.
They assume a child who copies vertical, horizontal and circular strokes, which is typical at three. If that is not there yet, the age 2 sheets are the better place to start.
Sheets in this set include Ice Cream Seller Colouring Page, Waving Doctor Colouring Page and Waving Cowboy Colouring Page. Each is one page on A4, laid out with margins wide enough that nothing is lost printing on US Letter.
Five to ten minutes at a time is plenty at this age, and going outside the lines is the expected outcome rather than a mistake. Print in greyscale to save ink, or slide the sheet into a plastic pocket and hand over a dry-wipe marker so the same page lasts a month.
What most 3 year olds can do
- •Copies vertical, horizontal and circular strokes
- •Counts objects up to five with one-to-one pointing
- •Sorts confidently by a single attribute like colour
- •Begins to recognise the letters in their own name
Averages, not targets. Children vary enormously at this age.
