About this worksheet
This page has a single star filling almost the whole sheet, its five points rounded off rather than sharp. Its face is made of simple curved lines: two closed, sleepy eyes, a small smiling mouth underneath, and two round circles for cheeks sitting either side of the nose. There is nothing else on the page, no background, no clouds, no other stars, just the one big shape waiting to be filled in.
That makes it a page built for a young child's hand rather than their patience. The body of the star is one wide, unbroken space, so a child can go big with a single colour without worrying about staying inside a small line. The two cheek circles are the only enclosed shapes of any size, which gives slightly older hands something a bit fiddlier to try if they want it, maybe a different colour for the cheeks than the star itself. The closed eyes and curved smile are thin lines rather than areas, so they mostly get gone over lightly rather than filled in, and that is fine.
As a bedtime or wind-down sheet it sits on the easy end, closer to a first colouring page than a puzzle. How to use this sheet
Let your child pick one colour for the whole star first, then a second colour for just the two cheek circles. If they scribble over the sleepy eyes, that is fine, the lines are decorative, not a shape to stay inside.
