About this worksheet
Three bowling pins stand in a row at the top of the page, each with a single stripe circling its neck. Almost everything here is a large, closed shape, so a child can colour the ball in one bold colour and each pin in another without much detail to work around. The three pin stripes and the three finger holes are the only small bits, and they sit far enough apart to be easy to reach with a crayon tip. It is a good page for talking about counting the pins, or the holes on the ball, while colouring.
This one sits on the easier end of the shelf. The shapes are simple and rounded with nothing fiddly to stay inside, which suits a child who is still getting the hang of holding a crayon steady, while the small stripe and hole details give slightly older preschoolers something extra to fill in carefully.
How to use this sheet
Start with the ball since it is the biggest shape, then let your child pick a different colour for each pin. If the finger holes feel too fiddly, skip them or fill them in yourself so the page still feels finished.
