About this worksheet

A color-recognition page built around one idea: yellow is not just a word, it is a property of real things. The page shows four outlined pictures — a duck, sunflower, lemon and a school bus — and the only job is to color them yellow.

Yellow is the brightest crayon in the box and the easiest to spot on the page afterward. The school bus is the fun one here — buses are yellow on purpose, so everyone can see them, which is a nice piece of why-things-are to share mid-coloring.

One color per page is deliberate. A page of mixed colors tests sorting; this page builds the single association first, and its sibling pages cover the other colors one by one before the review sheet mixes them.

How to use this sheet

Put out several crayons, not just the right one — choosing the correct crayon unprompted is the actual test of the skill.
