About this worksheet
Knowing that the squiggle "3" means three of something is the whole point of early number work, and this page drills exactly that link. Each row shows a numeral, a group of shapes to count, and an orange box where your child draws the same number of anything they like.
The drawing step is what makes this more than a counting page. Producing a quantity — three circles, three suns, three wobbly cats — proves the child owns the number rather than just recognizing it.
Rows go in order from 1 to 5, so the page starts with guaranteed success and climbs gently.
How to use this sheet
Anything goes in the drawing box — dots are fine. The count is what matters, not the artwork.
