Fruits worksheets for 2 year olds

14 fruits worksheets pitched at 2 year olds, free to print with no account and no watermark. Every one is an easy sheet: big shapes, thick lines and room to be inaccurate.

Shapes stay simple and rounded, so a preschooler can follow the outlines without the pencil work getting fiddly, while details like banana speckles or dragon fruit's speckled flesh give slightly older children something to look at closely and choose colours for.

They assume a child who holds a crayon in a fist grip and scribbles freely, which is typical at two. If your child is not there yet, that is entirely normal at this age — sit with them and treat it as drawing.

Sheets in this set include Smiling Lemon Colouring Page, Smiling Grapes Bunch Colouring Page and Fruit Basket Colouring Page. Each is one page on A4, laid out with margins wide enough that nothing is lost printing on US Letter.

Five to ten minutes at a time is plenty at this age, and going outside the lines is the expected outcome rather than a mistake. Print in greyscale to save ink, or slide the sheet into a plastic pocket and hand over a dry-wipe marker so the same page lasts a month.

What most 2 year olds can do

  • Holds a crayon in a fist grip and scribbles freely
  • Recognises a few familiar shapes and colours
  • Matches identical pictures placed side by side
  • Enjoys naming objects far more than tracing them

Averages, not targets. Children vary enormously at this age.
