About this worksheet
This basket has a face. Two round eyes and a curved smile are printed on the front of the bucket, already filled in solid black, so your child colours the basket itself rather than the face. Inside, four fruits sit piled together: an apple with a stem and leaf on the left, a banana lying diagonally across the middle, a pear with its own stem and leaf on the right, and a smaller round fruit tucked in front, just its top curve showing between the others. A wide looping handle arcs behind the fruit, giving the whole picture a tidy, rounded shape.
Nothing here is fiddly. The banana and the pear are big single shapes with clean outlines, the basket body is one large curved area below the fruit line, and even the apple's small leaf is simple enough for a first attempt at staying inside a line. It's an easy page to talk over while colouring: name each fruit as you go, ask which one is a child's favourite, or pick one colour per fruit so the finished basket looks like a proper fruit bowl rather than a scribble.
There's no fine detail to fight with and no small gaps to fill, which makes this a good one for a child still building confidence with crayons rather than pencils. Older preschoolers will finish it quickly and might enjoy adding a background or pattern to the basket's rim once the fruit is done.
How to use this sheet
Start with the banana or pear, the biggest shapes, so your child gets an early win before the smaller apple and round fruit. The eyes are already black, so there's no need to colour the face at all.
