About this worksheet
A round-headed baby dinosaur has broken through the top of its egg. Its two hands grip the jagged edge of the shell, its mouth is open in a smile, and three little bumps run along the top of its head. The egg itself is large and oval, marked with four big round spots, two near the top and two lower down. Two broken pieces of shell sit at the bottom corners of the page, each with a zigzag torn edge.
The egg body is the main draw here: one wide, unbroken curve that a toddler can fill in with a single colour without worrying about staying inside tricky lines. The four spots break that space up just enough to invite a second or third colour if a child wants variety, and the jagged shell pieces at the bottom give a small hand something fiddlier to try once the big shapes are done.
