About this worksheet
This page shows one big crayon standing up like a person, with a pointed tip at the top, two arms, two legs, and rounded feet. One hand is raised in a wave with the fingers spread out, and the other hand rests down by its side. The face has two round eyes, two eyebrows and an open smiling mouth. Around the middle of the crayon's body are two wrapper bands, each with a wavy line running through it, like the label on a real crayon.
The body of the crayon is one long, wide space, so a child can pick a single colour and fill most of the page without worrying about running into a border. The wrapper bands and wavy label lines break that space up a little, which is a nice spot to try a second or third colour. The face is small and will need a steadier hand, especially the eyes and the gap of the smiling mouth, so it is a good place for a parent to sit close by if a child wants to try it.
