Letters Made of Slants

Nine capitals made from slanting lines: A, K, M, N, V, W, X, Y and Z. This is deliberately the last of the three stroke-family pages, because diagonals are genuinely the hardest thing on this list.

A vertical stroke can be drawn with the whole arm and a horizontal one by dragging across the page, but a diagonal needs the wrist to hold an angle it cannot check against the paper's edge. Expect slants to drift toward vertical, and expect the two sides of A and V to meet at different heights.

W is the endurance test — four strokes with no rest — and X is the precision test, since the two lines have to cross near the middle rather than anywhere at all. Both reward short sessions far more than long ones.
