About this worksheet
The numbers 1 to 5 run in order down the left side, and the same five numbers appear in a mixed-up order on the right. Your child finds each number's match and draws a line from dot to dot to join the pair.
Learning to recognize written numbers is a separate skill from saying the counting words, and young children often learn the two at different times. Comparing the shapes side by side helps them tell look-alike numbers apart, such as 2 and 5, before they connect each number to an amount.
Start at the top with 1 and work down in order, so your child only has to search the right column for one number at a time.
How to use this sheet
Say each number's name together before your child draws a line. If they pick the wrong match, trace both numbers with a finger and talk about how the shapes differ.
