About this worksheet
Capital letter practice for A to E on proper four-line handwriting guides — the red and blue ruling used in early-years copybooks, where capitals stand on the third line and reach the top one.
These first five letters cover the full menu of moves: the slants of A, the stacked curves of B, the single sweep of C, the line-and-curve of D and the three straight bars of E. A child who can manage these five has met every stroke type the rest of the alphabet uses.
Each row gives one letter: a solid model first, then dotted repeats to trace.
How to use this sheet
One row per sitting is plenty at first. Name each letter as it is traced — the letter name and the motor pattern should learn to travel together.
