About this worksheet
This is the step after Count and Circle: the numeral is no longer offered as a choice, so your child has to both count the group and recall how the digit is written.
The six panels range from two up to eight objects, and the shapes are arranged in rows of four rather than a single line. Counting a two-dimensional arrangement is genuinely harder than counting a row, because the child has to keep track of which items they have already counted. Expect some double-counting at first.
Each panel has a bordered answer square in the corner sized for a large, wobbly numeral.
