About this worksheet
The curved capitals on one page: C, G, O, Q and S. Four of the five are the same movement — start at the top, travel counter-clockwise — and noticing that is most of the lesson.
C is the parent shape. G is a C with a shelf, O is a C closed up, and Q is an O with a tail. Saying that out loud while your child works turns five separate letters into one movement with four variations, which is far less to remember.
S is the exception and the hard one: a double curve that changes direction halfway, and among the most-reversed capitals in the alphabet. Treat a recognizable S as a win and come back to it another day.
How to use this sheet
Watch the direction, not the shape. A round-looking O drawn clockwise will fight your child later, when the same movement has to produce a, c, d and g.
