Count and Write: Numbers to 10

The step after count-and-circle: here the numeral is not offered as a choice, so your child has to count the group and then recall how the digit is written, unaided.

The six panels range from three up to ten objects, arranged in blocks rather than neat lines. Counting a two-dimensional arrangement is genuinely harder than counting a row — the child has to keep track of which items are already counted — so expect some double-counting at first, and treat it as part of the learning rather than an error.

Each panel has an orange answer square in the corner, sized generously for a large, wobbly numeral.
