Ask your child to imagine the ant laying a trail on this route so its friends can follow; the trail has to avoid every dead end.

There is exactly one way through: no loops, and no square cut off from the rest.

How to use this sheet

Solve it once with a finger, then draw the route as the ant's trail in a single color. Afterwards, let a sibling or a grown-up follow the trail with their own finger and see whether it gets them to the basket without a wrong turn.
