Help the Duckling Find the Mother Duck — Level 2

The straightest route at this level. Forty-nine squares but only 26 changes of direction, so the way through travels in long runs rather than jinking from cell to cell — easier both to hold in your head and to draw. A good sheet for a child who can find the way but whose pencil still wanders.

Ten cells across puts the corridors a little over one and a half centimeters wide. Still wide enough for a pencil held in a whole-hand grip, but narrow enough that staying inside the lines is now part of the task rather than a given.

The way through runs 49 squares and turns 26 times, with 13 dead ends branching off it. The grid is carved so that exactly one route connects the start to the finish: no loops, no second way round, and no corner walled off from the rest. Every square can be reached, and a child who follows the route carefully will always get there.
