About this worksheet
The longest and most winding route at this level — 61 squares and 36 changes of direction, both more than any other 10 by 10 sheet in the series. What keeps it from being punishing is that only 10 dead ends branch off it, so the difficulty is stamina rather than judgment. A long walk down a mostly honest path.
Ten cells across puts the corridors a little over one and a half centimeters wide. Still wide enough for a pencil held in a whole-hand grip, but narrow enough that staying inside the lines is now part of the task rather than a given.
The way through runs 61 squares and turns 36 times, with 10 dead ends branching off it. The grid is carved so that exactly one route connects the start to the finish: no loops, no second way round, and no corner walled off from the rest. Every square can be reached, and a child who follows the route carefully will always get there.
How to use this sheet
Trace the route with a finger first, then go over it with a pencil. Separating the thinking from the pencil work means neither one spoils the other.
