Parts of the Body Matching

A large outline child stands in the middle of the page with seven words around it: eyes, head, hands, and feet on one side, and nose, ears, and mouth on the other. Each word has a dot, and each body part on the figure has a dot too. Your child draws a line from each word to its part, then colors the child.

Children this age are learning to name body parts precisely and to find them on a picture as well as on themselves. Matching a word to a place on a drawing takes careful looking, and a line that runs from one dot to another gives the hand steady practice at starting and stopping on purpose.

Read one word aloud and ask your child to touch that part on their own body first, then find it on the figure. Moving from their own body to the picture makes the match much easier to see.
