Many owls nest in hollows inside old trees, and they hunt at night using sharp hearing as much as their eyes. An owl can turn its head much further around than a person can. This is the maze to print first when a child moves up to level 3: still a long route, but with fewer turns and dead ends than any other 12 by 12 sheet.

There is exactly one way through: no loops, and no square cut off from the rest.

How to use this sheet

Start level 3 here. Remind your child that the corridors are narrower again, about one and a third centimeters, so pencil control matters. Turning the head like an owl to look at the maze from a new angle is allowed.
