Trace Number 8

One numeral, one page. The strip at the top shows a large 8 beside 8 kites, so the very first thing your child does is count — the numeral is tied to a real quantity before any pencil work begins.

The numeral 8 can be drawn as two stacked circles or one continuous snake that crosses itself — both are correct. The snake version is faster once mastered, but the two-circle version is the friendlier place to start.

The grid below holds dotted 8s to trace, sized for small hands, and the bottom row is deliberately empty: after a page of guided strokes, writing the numeral unaided in the last boxes is the moment the practice sticks.
