About this worksheet
The plainest letter in the alphabet: one straight line from the top line down to the baseline. The model has a single numbered dot at the top, and that is all there is to it.
Which makes this page less about the letter and more about control. Starting on a line, traveling straight, and stopping exactly on another line is the skill underneath every tall letter. Some schools add a small bar at the top and bottom of capital I; if yours does, add them after the line.
Ask your child to make each line stand up like a soldier and stop on the floor. Because the letter is so quick, this is a good page for a first try at the empty row.
How to use this sheet
Watch the stopping point more than the line itself. A line that overshoots into the bottom space is the thing to mention, gently, once.
